When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

In honor of National Talk like a pirate day, I bring you Gimlet! A Pirate Dwarf!!
He is very fond of gold, so fond he had them put extra gold into his custom made armor. He has been known to dive into freshly killed piles of beasties to search for that elusive winking single piece of gold. ARRR! ~~~~ while most dwarves do anything they can to avoid the sea,Gimlet has picked up a rather cursed saber, which has increased his love of the water, and enhanced, of course, his love of gold. ~~~~ i used several new techniques on this. Color Dynamics Tute by Waves tute by Chain Mail tute by ~~~~ I'd love critique on how I can push this further, or pieces like this. |

Pirate dwarf, eh? Interesting that you gave him mail and a breastplate-- I don't care to think about what'd happen if he fell overboard like that. Non-natural hair-colors, especially for such an earthy bunch, plus that huge grin forces me to grin even under the mountain of homework I am currently wrestling tonight at midnight. Excellent commemoration; you do all the pirates service with this gem.

Don't try to keep thinking pessimistic thoughts. You will run out.
Avatar by =Foxchibi. She's pretty cool like that.
Only real suggestion is to blend the horizon between the sea and the sky together so the switch is less abrupt, maybe some haze or decrease the contrast between the lighter accents of the water toward the horizon.

It took a little bit of time, but totally worth the effort!

Chaucer: You've probably read my book? The Book of the Duchess? No? Well, it was allegorical.
Roland: Well, we won't hold that against you, that's for every man to decide for himself. (A Knight's Tale)
