Hey guys. I'm a pretty opinionated lady as some of you have figured out. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong. I try to stand by my thoughts even if they're incoherant as all get out, but also try to be open to other viewpoints to change my mind (particularly if I'm just not sure on my stance on a subject, such as my last post. Took comments from you guys to help me clarify what my stance actually is.).
However. One of the opinions I have always had is that how you present your work *matters*. It matters in how many sales you will get, it matters in how people respond to your work and it matters in how you are perceived as a person. I've been trying to tell you guys for ages that presentation matters, but I haven't had very good ways of showing you this. I've been trying to say 'how you mat your art for display WILL affect your sales. Not a little bit, but a lot."
An oportunity presented itself when I had three prints that I needed to mat up and put up for sale. While I was working
